The Science Council is hosting an evening at Thinktank, an award-winning Birmingham Science Museum, to celebrate CPD Award winners, recognise volunteers and applaud apprentices and their journey.
Dr Becky Smethurst will be the keynote speaker. Dr Becky Smethurst is an astrophysicist, author, science communicator and Royal Astronomical Society Research Fellow at the University of Oxford. She has been awarded numerous prizes for her research and science communication efforts in recent years. In her keynote, Dr Smethurst will offer a unique perspective on combining being a science communicator with being an active researcher.
The event will be followed by a networking reception with the opportunity to connect with fellow registrants from across the science disciplines, as well as individuals from the professional body community, industry, academia and government.
Tickets are FREE and includes complimentary access (usually £15.50) to the Thinktank galleries during the hours of 09:00-17:00 on 15 November.
